The Rosedale Group is comprised of 10 experienced Wealth Advisors that share a passion for providing an elite level of service to their clients.  Together, we draw upon 125 years of advisory experience.  I joined ScotiaMcleod and The Rosedale Group in February, 2008 in order to be able to provide my clients with the highest level of wealth management services anywhere.

Prior to joining ScotiaMcleod I worked in the financial markets with CIBC.  Most recently I was an Investment Specialist for nine years advising the bank’s clients on sophisticated wealth management strategies.  Prior to 1999, I was a Director of Trading and Sales, a role that took me across four continents including two years in Tokyo, two years in Singapore and two years in London, UK.  During that time I was responsible for advising foreign Central Banks, Global Banks and other institutional investors as to how to invest in Canadian dollars.  I have been working in Toronto since 1997.

I am a conservative person by nature and this trait is reflected in my Value style of investing.  My clients benefit from a process-driven approach to Wealth Management as we design, build and monitor each family’s unique overall financial plan.  Investment decisions are carefully thought through in terms of their appropriateness for each client, all risk factors are quantified and greater consideration is given to what might be lost over what is to gain.

Idea generation and information exchange within The Rosedale Group happens continuously.  Also, My colleagues and I regularly access the resources of ScotiaBank and it’s Team of Experts in Equity Trading, Fixed Income, Insurance, Financial, Estate and Tax Planning.  Beyond our ‘in-house’ resources I also have access to experts within numerous other Money Management firms throughout Canada and the U.S.

I am a native of Toronto and currently live in Mississauga with my Wife and two children, Nicole, 12, and Clarke, 10.  I am active in tennis, hockey, golf, sailing, The Alzheimer’s Society, The Georgian Bay Land Trust and I have coached my kid’s soccer and hockey teams for the last five years.  During the summer months our family spends as much time as possible at our island cottage on Georgian Bay.
